Jean Pérez

Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer

A rails engineer in the lovely city of Paris Hi, I'm a Full-Stack developer from Venezuela with over 10 years of professional experience.

Stay In Touch. Résumé

I decided to focus on Ruby because I feel it makes me incredibly productive, and my thoughts align really well with those described in the rails doctrine.

I have worked on many types of projects, from small MVPs to large scale international platforms that deal with high amounts of daily traffic.

In the last couple of years, I've been working remotely with companies from the bay area (Silicon Valley), but having collaborated with teams all across the globe, mainly Europe and the Americas, I consider myself location independent.

I'm upbeat and easy to work with, I'm super keen on learning new things, and eager to share knowledge on topics I have come to master.

I prefer to work with people that care about quality. Realistically, things tend to move fast, but if we keep track of tech debt, and actually allocate the time to fix said issues somewhere in the future, I'm good.

Presently, I'm grateful to be a full-time developer for Discourse, distinguished as one of the top three Ruby on Rails applications on GitHub. This role is constantly refining my adaptability and tech abilities, allowing me to contribute to a profound open-source project that supports numerous large-scale businesses.
